Tony Moly the White Tea Brightening Skin Review

Hey Guys!! Hello Oct!!! I am back from the land of the unknown. LOL! Okay, it's more of, I'm back to my un-lazy cocky. I'm hoping that I won't retreat to my niggling cave of laziness anytime soon, so I can write more regularly. Without further ado, hither's today's review.

I say, TEA is Beloved in the aforementioned way that Java is LOVE. If you'd inquire me if which of the two I adopt more, well… I can't really choose. I love both. Anyways, this mail is not about my preference in drinks simply well-nigh a skincare production whose base is made from i of my favorite beverage –TEA.

This is not my offset time using skincare products that contains tea. In fact, tea provides many skin benefits when used topically so information technology is no surprise to find tea-based skincare products all over the market. Today I shall be reviewing my new facial lotion/ moisturizer which I bought a few weeks ago — Tony Moly The White Tea Brightening Lotion . This is part of their White Tea line, together with 3 other products namely their toner, cream and essence.

Tony Moly The White Tea Brightening Lotion

Equally its proper noun implies, this product is supposed to brighten your slow skin. Note that this does not really promise to lighten your skin, just only to burnish and impart a natural, vivid radiance. There is a huge difference between the two.

Fundamental Ingredients

  • White Tea Extract – Rich in antioxidants with higher levels of polyphenols than   light-green tea.
  • Fig Extract – Gently brightens the skin.
  • Amla (Indian Gooseberry) Extract – Powerful brightening properties with 4 times the Vitamin C in oranges and 8 times the Vitamin C in tomatoes

Aside from these central ingredients, there are also other ingredients present in this product (encounter picture above). Since this production is certified EWG Green, remainder assured that everything used here is safe even for sensitive skin. What I discover unique about this production is that, rather using water (which is more than or less one of the main ingredients in most skincare products), this uses white tea instead.

Tony Moly The White Tea Brightening Lotion Review 6

Like all other moisturizers/ lotions/ essence that I've bought from Tony Moly, this product comes in a cute, white bottle with an easy to use pump nozzle. I've said information technology once more and again, I prefer this type of packaging over those squeeze bottles and jar type packaging mainly due to hygienic purposes and ease of use. The canteen itself is made of translucent plastic and then it'south piece of cake to know if you lot're running low on moisturizer. Each bottle contains 130 ml which is enough to last most 2-3 months depending on usage, though the production tin can be used upwards to 12 months later opening. I just don't think it'll last me more than 3 months at max. LOL!

Tony Moly The White Tea Brightening Lotion

What I find agreeable in this specific packaging is the bottle cap. At first, I though it was weird, only I later on realized why information technology looked similar that. It reminds me of a "gat", a traditional hat worn past men during the Joseon period. Information technology may be inspired from that traditional hat or it may only be me and my imagination trying to figure out why every single object came to wait similar how it currently look. It's a designer thing. Hahaha!

Tony Moly The White Tea Brightening Lotion

It has a gel-like consistency, except information technology's not transparent. It looks thick at first, but it's actually very watery. Information technology is very light and is easily absorbed by the skin. Since I have combination pare (a mix patch of dry out and oily skin) I observe near moisturizers a pain unless it is especially fabricated for those with my peel type. This one, gives my peel the proper amount of moisture it needs leaving it polish and well hydrated. I smells a scrap citrus-y which is unexpected since I expected it to scent more than herbal-y or leaf-y, exactly how tea from "Camellia sinensis" should smell similar.

Cost:

I bought this at their concept store at SM North Edsa for 778 pesos. Beautymnl likewise sells Tony Moly products, though simply a select few are available there. I consider the price to exist mid- range since there are other similar products that cost 1000+ pesos.

VERDICT:

I love the scent (balmy citrus-y), and the packaging (make clean and unproblematic). If your looking for a lightweight, hydrating facial balm for your peel, then this might be the product for you lot. I tin can't exactly say if it causes me to breakout since I'm taking oral medication for my acne. I've got 3-5 times more acne this year than the accumulated amount of acne I got during my teens. Information technology's annoying and alarming at the same time. So again, since The White Tea Brightening Balm is EWG Green rated, it would prolly not cause any peel irritation unless you lot're allergic to one of its ingredients. So far, it's been just 3 weeks since I've started using this, and I've but seen minimal results in terms of skin brightening. In terms of moisturizing, well, that'due south a whole different story. It works well with my combination skin, providing it with enough moisture without making it oily.

Will I repurchase? Yepp or maybe. Depends if I find another production that is worth to try. I kinda want to try their Chok Chok Green Tea line and their Black Tea London Line. But overall, its worth to repurchase.

Side Notation: I go on having this uncomfortable feeling that I'm not doing something I should do. Worse is, I know what it is but I keep on denying it.

Another Side Annotation:   If y'all're wondering why the canteen is even so full on the motion picture, it's because I took this photos right after buying it. I've already used upwards about a 3rd of it by now.
