There are some days when my stomach doesn't feel great and that can sometimes turn into irritability (not my proudest moments). As I continue my journey to become a super dad, my overall health and wellness is incredibly important. Sure you can look like a super dad in the mirror, but it's even more important to feel like a super dad on the inside.
One area of health that I'm continuously learning more about is the power of the gut. By improving your digestive health, you're efficiently helping the body remove the waste inside the stomach that doesn't digest or assimilate. Trust me, when my body gets backed up I have a hard time looking, feeling, and performing my best.
Even though healthy eating is a priority, it isn't always enough. In addition to eating healthy sources of fiber from vegetables, fruit, and nuts, I've also closed the "fiber gap" by taking the Metamucil 2-Week Challenge. The Metamucil 2-Week Challenge is designed to introduce the benefits of psyllium super fiber to people like me who thought fiber supplements were for grandmas. This challenge really showed me what psyllium super fiber can do when you use it daily. I am more regular and feel lighter as a result*.
I take 1-2 teaspoons of Metamucil in an 8 oz. glass of water with my first meal of the day. In addition to helping with my digestive health, it also helps me feel satisfied until my next meal*. This means no more mid-morning cravings and binging on unhealthy snacks between meals. I also take another teaspoon of Metamucil in water later in the day if I have a sweet craving.
Metamucil traps and removes the waste that weighs you down, so you start to feel lighter in two weeks*. What was a little surprising was that I felt less sluggish after drinking Metamucil. When you do your body right, it does right by you!

I'm in my 20's – like most people my age, getting "more fiber" in my diet hasn't really been a concern. Then again, prior to this Metamucil 2-Week Challenge – I didn't really know what "dietary fiber" REALLY was, and what "regularity" meant, or that not all fiber is the same. I learned that fiber helps move waste through the body. This increased movement promoted regularity and better digestive health*.
When I took the Metamucil 2-Week Challenge I was surprised at the benefits of Metamucil's psyllium fiber. To put it plainly, when I'm taking it I feel lighter, more regular*, and even recharged. Less weighing me down, right?
It was pretty easy, too – all I did was mix Metamucil in a glass of water and drink it before breakfast. Later in the challenge I started working it in before lunch, too. At both times, I started with one teaspoon then upped it to two. It was just like adding another beverage to my routine, and it tasted pretty good too (yes, really).
I probably never would've thought to take a fiber supplement if it weren't for this challenge, but I'm definitely glad I did. I think you should try it too – and let me know how it goes!
